Deprecated contracts still holding value
Beefy Finance's assessment for RD-F-166 — scored yellow on the v1.7.0 rubric. The evidence below is the curator's reasoning for this score.
Evidence summary #
The original BSC BIFI token (0xCa3F508B8e4Dd382eE878A314789373D80A5190A) and the pre-migration Ethereum BIFI token (0x5870700f1272a1adbb87c3140bd770880a95e55d) are officially deprecated per BIP-71 (September 2023 BIFI Migration Plan) but remain live and circulating on-chain. BSCscan shows ~$249.82 per token with active trading. The deprecated contracts are governance tokens, not vault contracts; they hold no privileged Beefy admin functions and no user deposit TVL. The residual risk is: (a) users who did not migrate still hold the old token and (b) the old token may create confusion or be subject to deprecated-contract attack vectors. Yellow — deprecated surface with residual material circulating value, but the risk profile is limited (no admin key, no vault TVL, no rescue function in the deprecated tokens).
