Aave v2 markets are in governance-directed wind-down but remain live with material TVL. The Protocol Emergency Guardian (5-of-9) can freeze/pause Aave v2 reserves. The v2 pause is reversible. Admin scope extends to a sunset surface, but this is intentional (governance-tracked wind-down, not abandonment).
